Building a better, safer community
Celia Street
Residents’ Association
We are situated at the north end of Liverpool, sandwiched between the main part of Kirkdale (L4) and Sefton (L20). Although our postcode is L20 we are part of Kirkdale and our local authority is Liverpool City Council. A lot of the services our residents use are based in Sefton. This causes us numerous problems in obtaining funding and services.
Our area is relatively small consisting of twelve streets namely; Argos Place, Celia Street, Christmas Street, Malcolm Grove, Marsh Street, Miranda Place, Miranda Road South, Rosalind Way, St Alexandra Close, St. Richards Close, Stewart Grove and Store Street. We cover a total of 400 homes. Here is a map of our area.
Our residents are enthusiastic and immensely proud about their area and have fought long and hard to develop it into a place that anyone would want to live in. We want to continue to keep our area clean, safe and decent.
A Committee of 12 members meets twice each month to discuss local issues and presses for action, when needed. Did you know that your local city Councillor attends the meetings?
We hope this Web Site will encourage more residents to become actively involved in their area. We want to enable each and every one of us to “take ownership” of their environment, in order that we can share in “Pride of Place”. Ensuring we have done our best to pass on something worthwhile to future generations.
We hope that you enjoy our Web site and that you keep re-
